This watch has some sentimental value as my late father bought it for me in 1978(?).

This is a simple non-jeweled pin pallet watch, this type of watch made Timex and Ingersoll household names over the years.  The case is plated but I doubt in gold, it measures 33 x 41 mm.

Not of outstanding quality but cheap watches like this gave timekeeping to millions of people.
