This was sent to me by my friend Ian, thanks Ian.

It is a Raketa quartz watch from 1990, made in the then USSR. Ok, it has a picture dial. It may not be to most people’s taste but it has a little surprise inside, a genuine Soviet made quartz movement. I’m not sure but I think the former Soviet state’s no longer make their own quartz movements as these can be purchased a lot cheaper from abroad.

An interesting curio.
