Alpha watches hail from China. Most are made as “homage” watches to more familiar brands, though some are quite unique designs such as the jump hour models.
This watch is based on the design of the Omega Speedmaster that went to the Moon with the intrepid American astronauts.
The watch is weighty at 154 grams and the diameter of the watch is quite large at 44mm including the crown. The automatic 21 jeweled Chinese movement keeps good time at + 10 to 15 seconds a day and the watch hacks properly and the pushers work as they should. The water resistance indicates that it is splash proof and I would not argue with that. The luminous material isn’t of the highest order but there are far more expensive watches that have similar failings.
The case and bracelet seem to be of decent quality and the watch movement, whilst agricultural, does its job.
I bought this watch out of curiosity, not expecting it to be much of a watch for the price I paid. I got more than I paid for, in fact I’ve become rather attached to this look alike upstart from China.
